
Matt Richardson is a young British comedian who rose to stardom in 2010 when he began performing gigs up and down the country. Alongside his stand-up comedy work Richardson is also a co-host of the popular ITV2 series Xtra Factor, after replacing pop-star and previous television presenter Olly Murs in 2013. Embarking on his stand-up comedy career at only eighteen Richardson quickly gained recognition, reaching the finals of both the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year awards and So You Think You’re Funny in 2010. His first solo show, Hometown Hero, won Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2012.
Since then Richardson has gone on to perform at comedy festivals, headline gigs, support theatre tours and provide the after dinner entertainment for corporate functions.
