Lee Sang-Hyeok

At the top of his game, Faker is incredibly well respected in the eSports community and was referred to as the “Michael Jordan of League of Legends” by the Vice President of Riot Games. One of his greatest achievements was in 2013 leading his team, then known as SKT T1 K, to their first League of Legends Championship win. Faker became one of only two players to have won the Championship three timesin 2013, 2015 and 2016.

In 2017 he was awarded the Best ESports Player at the Game Awards and in 2018 he won the David Yan Award for the Most Beloved Player. Forbes acknowledged Faker on their 2018 ‘30 Under 30 Asia’ list. As a player, Faker was the first in League of Legends history to have won all Riot Games international tournaments. He also celebrated his one-hundredth international win at the International Championships in 2019. In his fairly short time as a professional gamer, Faker has achieved a lot of firsts for the sport, including being the first person to reach 1000 kills in the Legends Champions Korea in 2016 and reaching 500 games played in the Korean Championships in 2019.
