Laura Winterling is a leading figure in the space industry, having trained astronauts for over a decade. With an educational background in physics, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Bayreuth, Laura has long been interested in the wonders of space. Upon her graduation, Laura began her career as an Astronaut Support Officer for the European Space Agency, before progressing to an Astronaut Instructor in 2008. As part of the International Space Station Programme, Laura has taught astronauts at various Mission Control centres across the globe- stationed in locations such as Houston, Moscow, France and Toulouse to name but a few. Laura has also been a part of Event Management at the European Astronaut Centre and Soyuz Rocket launches in Kazakhstan. Teaching over 80 different astronauts, Laura has also worked on real-time operations with astronauts on board the International Space Station.
