John Wilding is a British solo artist with a background in stage and musical theatre; beginning his career as a music act with roles that include playing a young Paul McCartney in The Long and Winding Road – The Story of the Beatles and receiving a standing ovation from 2500 people for his performance of Gladys Knight’s Licence to Kill in the James Bond musical at the Theatre Royal in London.
Achieving all of this before the age of 15 John Wilding went to on secure a place as the prestigious theatre and music school Sylvia Young; Wilding was, still at a very young age, establishing himself as a solo artist to watch.
Wilding furthered his career as a solo artist when he auditioned for the huge ITV series the X Factor, working alongside world renowned music acts Danni Mingoue, Simon Cowell and Gary Barlow, Wilding was brought to the judge’s houses to further develop his raw talent.
After reaching the final of the 2010 X Factor series Wilding has gone on to perform as a solo artist on the after dinner speaker circuit, he has appeared at esteemed events and private functions across the UK and Europe. Audiences have described his performances as sensational, entertaining and outstanding, he has even been voted performer of the year following his appearance as a solo artist for the prestigious 1st Tuesday Club.
