Jessie Cave is a well-known actress, comedian, Time Best-Selling author and an accomplished illustrator. Best known for her role in Harry Potter as Lavender Brown, Jessie displayed extraordinary talent in her audition beating 7000 other candidates for the role. Since her early success, Jessie has gone on to star in several shows and movies with leading networks such as ITV2, Sky One, Netflix, BBC 1 and E4.
Injury abruptly ended her national tennis career at 15 and although a highly talented Illustrator, Jessie dropped out of Kingston University where she was studying illustration and animation at 19. Whilst originally planning to study stage management at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Jessie began to pursue acting. Making her acting debut on CBBC, Jessie went on to play the role of Thomasina in the West End, during the same year she held a minor role in the film Inkheart. Some of her other notable work includes the lead role in Buffering, Heather in Trollied, Black Mirror, Call the Midwife and Glue.
Proofing herself as an exceptional actor, Jessie was nominated for the Time Breakthrough Award. Also, a popular comedian, Jessie has sold three critically acclaimed sell-out comedy shows and has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on a number of occasions. Her well-received show Sunrise ran several times at the Soho Theatre, toured nationally and received tremendous praise. Furthermore, Jessie has made several appearances on TV shows such as Celebrity Landscape Artist of the Year, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Count down and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
In addition to launching her podcast Whenever it Kicks with Jessie Cave, she co-hosts We Can't Talk About That Right Now. Publishing her bestselling book, Sunset which immediately made it to number one on the Time Bestseller list, Jessie went on to publish Lovesick an illustrations book which demonstrates her artistic talent.
