Giulio Toscani is the Digital Strategy Academic at the ESADE Business & Law School. With over 20 years of experience in digital strategy, Giulio has been working in universities across the world teaching a myriad of topics. These include digital privacy, big data & AI, digital transformation, digital entrepreneurship, the business of AI and other related topics that he can shed light on when hired as a speaker too.
With a BSc in Chemical Engineering at UCL and MSc in Chemical Engineering from Universita degli Studi dell’Aquila, he obtained a PhD in Business Administration and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2012. He started his career as a Patent Attorney at Botti & Ferrari and then served as a Business Manager for Teva Pharmaceuticals. In 2014 he worked as the Director of Programmes at Universitas Telefonica.
Currently, Giulio is a Visiting Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Pacifico Business School, University of Bath, NUCB Business School and The African Leadership University. He is also a Member of the Board of Advisors at Navozyme and an advisor and investor for Muns. Giulio also works with General Electric, Nike, Megafon, Bic, Bayer and PWC.
Giulio’s incredible knowledge of big data and AI comes from his stellar work on location-system behavioural analysis and time perception projects. His work has been published in several leading academic journals and magazines like the Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Services Marketing, Harvard Deusto, El Economistica, Gentleman and ESADE Do Better to name but a few.
