An expert within the drinks industry, Ewan is a wine writer who is extremely passionate about making wine accessible to anyone. Ewan finds the story behind each wine and then explains it in a way that’s understandable to all, he strongly believes there is a wine out there for everyone.
Ewan’s passion has resulted in many media appearances and he regularly writes about food and wine for The Sunday Mirror. Ewan has also become a resident wine and drinks expert on The Gaby Roslin Show for BBC Radio London, and on Channel 4’s The Cookery School with Richard Corrigan and Gizzi Erskine. Ewan regularly makes public appearances at live events such as the BBC Good Food Show and Ideal Home Show, where he hosted wine tastings. He also appeared as a wine expert at The Harvest Festival at Jimmy Doherty’s farm whilst taking on the role of drinks buyer for Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts.
While working for the International Wine and Spirit competition Ewan was responsible for overseeing the tasting, promotion and praising over over 10,000 spirits while also dealing with the mosts senior people in the industry. This gave Ewan the opportunity to make connections and network his way through the industry whilst also seeing the emergence of new products and trends.
Ewan enjoys sharing his love for wine with live audiences, whether it’s corporate clients, wine trade professionals or ordinary people, Ewan entertains any audience with his charismatic and enthusiastic personality. When he’s not hosting wine courses and designing wine tasting events he’s working with top celebrity chefs to match incredible food with wine and hosting themed dinners.
Ewan has worked within the heart of the international drinks trade for over fifteen years and throughout his impressive career he has gained an array of intimate knowledge. Ewan can cater to a wide variety of audiences and is known to cover sales, marketing, branding, communications, logistics and distribution.
