British DJ Dave Pearce is known as one of the biggest names in the British dance music scene, previously a broadcaster and DJ for BBC Radio 1 Pearce spent ten years presenting the Dance Anthem’s programme Pearce is known for his having a vast reach across both the UK and international dance scene during the late 1990’s and 2000’s.
An accomplished music act in his own right Dave Pearce was the first Radio 1 DJ to simultaneously hold residency at an Ibiza nightclub as well as presenting a regular weekday show in the UK; alongside his weekend work in Europe Pearce also frequently toured the UK with fellow dance music acts and performed at some of the biggest nightclubs and venues in the country.
During his career as both a DJ and radio presenter Dave Pearce worked alongside some of the most notable names in British broadcasting, including Pete Tong, and has interviewed, as well as collaborated with, some of the biggest music acts in recent dance music history. Celebrating ten years at Radio 1 Dave was joined by both Faithless and Judge Jules and has worked as a producer on a number of chart topping dance tracks including Rui Di Silva’s 2001 number 1 Touch Me.
Since leaving Radio 1 Dave Pearce has continued to work as a DJ, appearing on both BBC 6 Music and on BBC Radio 2 with both recurring shows and one off programmes celebrating New Year’s Eve. Pearce has also contributed to a number of television and print publications, including working as The Sun newspapers dance correspondent and as a television and radio presenter for MTV.
