Chloe Green is a hilarious stand-up comedian, writer and the co-founder of The LOL Word comedy collective. Known for her jokes surrounding life as a Labour Party staffer and the patriarchy, she touches light-heartedly on heavy topics including politics, feminism, relationships and socialism in her gigs.
She joined the stand-up circuit as a gay comedian in 2016 before co-founding the queer comedy collective, The LOL Word in 2017. Made up of herself, Chloe Petts, Jodie Mitchel and Ruby and Rachel from comedy duo Shelf, the group bring the best of LGBTQIA+ comedy to some of the UK’s biggest cities in the bid to create more diverse rules of the stand-up world. The group also make monthly appearances at The Albany in the bid to raise money for an LGBTQ+ cause.
Throughout her career, Chloe has contributed to the battle towards equality. She regularly remarks on issues within society including feminism, coming out as gay, politics and relationships whilst remaining relatable and piercingly funny. She reached the semi-final of the BBC New Comedy Award in 2018, was invited to Latitude Festival 2019, received recognition from social media giant LADBible and has been commended by Pink News’ as a name within the top ten list of lesbian and bisexual comedians to watch out for.
