Chelsea’s career began in 2012 as a Teaching Assistant at Abertay University while completing her BSc (Hons) in Ethical Hacking & Countermeasures. She gained early industry experience as a Security Intern at Prudential Assurance and a Project Management Intern at Skyscanner before moving into cybersecurity roles at Prudential Assurance. She then became
Head of Security Operations - Social Security for the Scottish Government, where she was responsible for the development and running of security operations covering cyber, risk, and project support. She also held leadership positions at Education Scotland and M&G plc, further solidifying her expertise in security operations and culture.
In 2019, Chelsea became Managing Director at Neon Circle, and in 2021, she co-founded PRAEFERRE, serving as Chief Information Security Officer for over three years. She later took on the same role at The MDU before joining UK IT Leaders as an Advisory Board Member in 2024, and then in 2025 becoming Non-Executive Director at MAC Recruit Group Ltd.
