Charlie McMurdie

Charlie McMurdie has worked a respectable career spanning three decades in law enforcement and cybercrime, establishing a reputation for confronting the impact of cybercrime and the emerging technology that fuels such crime. Best known for her role as the former Head of the Police National Cyber Crime Unit for the Metropolitan Police, Charlie impressively served in the Metropolitan Police force from 1981 to 2013 – almost 32 years. In 2013, Charlie retired from the police force, and became a Senior Cyber Crime Advisor for PwC UK, a role in which she provided strategic knowledge on cybercrime and security to PwC teams on forensics, legal services and risk assurance. Charlie is also the owner of Achilleon Consultancy, was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Cyber Security Centre at Warwick University and worked on Breach Aid for PwC – the critical incident multidiscipline response team.
