Auma has also been fortunate to publish her own book, titled And Then Life Happens and delivered a TEDx talk titled Opportunities Unlimited- Poverty Is No Excuse. She has also claimed the Prix Courage Award, the 2015 B.A.U.M Award, the 2015 World Human Rights Award and the 2016 Kiwanis Award.
