Anne-Laure Le Cunff is a remarkable neuroscientist passionate about helping people use their curiosity to think, feel, and live more deeply. As a bestselling author and founder of Ness Labs, Anne-Laure is a highly sought-after speaker for audiences worldwide who are interested in the architecture behind why people seek, and how this system can be tuned or disrupted. With a PhD in the Psychology of Neuroscience, her essays have been published in the likes of The New York Times, The Guardian and Aeon Magazine, with her research focusing on applying leading neuroscience insights to support people throughout their education, career and personal development across neurotypes.
Whilst studying Consumer Psychology at Sophia Psychology and gaining a Master in Management from NEOMA Business School, Anne-Laure gained early professional experience through internship roles at Google as an Event Marketing Manager and an Associate Product Marketing Manager. Graduating in 2014, she continued to develop her career through Google, serving as an Associate Product Marketing Manager before progressing to Brand Marketing Lead and then to Global Marketing Lead in 2017. Delving into business, in 2017 Anne-Laure founded Lysa Health at the Founders of the Future. This encouraged her to find her new drive for entrepreneurship as she joined Entrepreneur First as a Resident. Founding Ness Labs in 2020, Anne-Laure created a platform and community centred around the neuroscience of curiosity and its applications to AI, mental health, ADHD and more. That same year, she completed an MSc in Applied Neuroscience at King's College London before later earning her PhD in 2024.
Wanting to share her expertise, Anne-Laure worked as a Faculty Advisor at the Founders Academy, followed by joining The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience as a Neuroscientist in 2021. Today, Anne-Laure serves as an Advisor at The Entrepreneur Network and The Applied Neuroscience Association, a Visiting Lecturer at The Oxford Character Project, and a Scientific Adviser at reMarkable, allowing her to combine academic research, writing and entrepreneurship. She stepped into the literary world in 2025 with the publication of her book, 'Tiny Experiments: How to Live Freely in a Goal Obsessed World', which was soon recognised as the overall Business Book of the Year 2026, presented by The Bookseller. Beyond her books and academic roles, she is also the creator of a popular newsletter, where she shares insights on neuroscience with a dedicated audience of more than 130,000 curious minds.
As a leading speaker, Anne-Laure translates neuroscience into engaging and practical ideas that audiences can apply across business and everyday life. Her extensive speaking track record spans audiences of over 1,000 at Barbican Hall and the Austen Convention Centre, lectures at Oxford University, and skill-building sessions for global organisations like Yelp, KPMG, and the World Economic Forum. Additionally, her insights have been sought after at TEDx, Talks@Gogle and Creative Mornings, along with featuring in interviews, panels and podcasts such as Microsoft's WorlLab and LinkedIn's Hello Monday. Exploring topics from ADHD and AI to mental health and lifelong learning, Anne-Laure uses curiosity, experimentation and neuroscience to help audiences apply their wonder to develop more adaptable ways of thinking, feeling and living.
