Starting his career in naval architecture, Andrew moved from Austal to BAE Systems to Babcock International as a design manager. From here, he joined QinetiQ as a business development manager and worked his way up to managing director, where he oversaw the sea systems division, 650 members of staff, and secured a £150m UK MoD contract. Andrew was then made the head of vehicle design at McLaren Racing for several years, before serving as Operations Director for McLaren GT, then as Programme Director. In 2015, he joined Schroders as COO and the global head of process engineering and worked to improve investment performance. Following this, he acted as the head of business process re-engineering at G-Research, moving through various high-profile positions and exiting as the operations director for engineering. Since 2023, Andrew has been the CEO and managing partner of Rathbone Results, tripling revenue within 18 months by transforming operations, finance, and marketing through AI adoption, process design, and by forming strategic partnerships across defence, nuclear and motorsport industries.
Alongside his professional career, Andrew is a chartered engineer, qualified executive coach and holds a certification from the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme, demonstrating his passion for transformation, technology, and performance. He is also a Leadership Fellow at St George’s House, Windsor Castle, and plays a key role in organising yearly conferences on the impact of disruptive technologies such as AI on democracy, society and defence.
