Prolific TV presenter, fashion designer and journalist, Amal Fashanu has worked on a wide range of projects for various production companies and aiding a number of different causes; with time spent as a TV presenter for BBC3, Newsnight, and Loose Women and as an interviewer for Radio 5 Live, Amal is one of the rising stars of the British media industry.
With a BA (Hons) from the prestigious Brunel University Amal broke into the media industry soon after graduating, quickly achieving her dream of becoming a TV presenter and journalist; Amal is known for working with the most up to date media formats and tackling some of the most topical news items.
In her work as a TV presenter Amal has fronted documentary series investigating homophobia in sport and the reluctance of gay footballers to come out; she regularly blogs for the BBC and The Guardian providing an insight into the perspectives of young ethnic Britons.
Amal is tri-lingual, speaking English, French and Spanish, and, outside of her work as a TV presenter, owns her own fashion wear company, Black Heart, and has modelled for a specialist Ebay only range. Amal has also made a number of guest appearances on topical panel shows and presented awards at the prestigious BAFTA ceremony.
