Head of Technical and Innovation Partnerships at Williams Racing, Al Peasland has over 27 years experience in motorsports, aerospace and automotive industries, making him a leading authority on the subjects. A former senior member of Red Bull for a decade, Peasland has worked within the elite levels of motorsport at Formula One and now works extensively bringing the motivation, ingenuity and analytical mindset from the cockpit, to audiences as a keynote speaker.
Working at Red Bull Racing is the sign of an illustrious career in motorsports, and Peasland is no exception. Taking the role of Head of CAD/PLM, Peasland was responsible for the software solutions within the business, bringing a fresh perspective on the technology available. In 2012 he transitioned into Head of Technical Partnerships, a natural leader in emerging technologies and creating valuable business connections. Whilst at Red Bull Racing, Peasland’s work was behind the fastest pit change ever, and he gained extensive experience in keynote speaking through his media facing responsibilities.
A qualified mechanical engineer, Peasland graduated from Coventry University with the highest honour achievable, whilst he was working as a senior designer at Dunlop Aerospace. Naturally inquisitive in new and emerging technologies, Peasland thrived in engineering, and in 2000 joined the New Venture Gear team as a Principal Designer for four years. Tasked with developing gearboxes for the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg, Peasland’s design flair is evident in industry leading motor vehicles, a testament to his dedication to crafting ingenious design.
Currently, Peasland is continuing his leading work in Formula One as the Head of Technical Innovation Partnerships at Williams Racing. Bringing nearly three decades of experience with him to the role, Peasland is invested in utilising the newest emerging technologies and building future proof partnerships with like minded parties. Outside of motorsports, Peasland has had an extensive career in martial arts, and using it as a teaching device for personal safety with corporate clients, an experience that he brings to his dynamic keynote talks.
