London 2012 Paralympian Sam Ruddock has enjoyed a short but successful career within sprinting. He turned his attentions to the tacks and in just over 6 months after initially taking up the sport, found himself on the biggest stage Paralympic sports could offer.
An impressive display of sprinting over the kilometre (1:18:109) at the Manchester International in November 2019 was more than enough to impress the selection panel for a place on the Great Britain squad at the 2020 Para-Track Cycling World Championships, in Milton, Canada. He is now in training for the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
