In 1982, Mindy graduated with a BA in Linguistics from McGill University and followed with her MBA in International Business from the University of Bridgeport in 1987. After completing her education, Mindy held a series of high-profile leadership positions, including Senior Marketing Manager of Nortel Networks, Marketing Director EMEA of RiverSoft UK PLC, and Managing Director of Panoma Press LTD. In 2002, Mindy founded The Book Midwife, an international coaching business designed to support experts in the process of writing and publishing thought leadership books.
In 2008, Mindy transitioned into professional speaking and has since gone on to deliver standout keynotes at several prestigious events. In 2011, she delivered her first TED talk titled,'Sometimes You Need to Change Yourself to Be Yourself', where she encouraged audiences to reflect and have the confidence to step out of their comfort zones. Her second TED talk, 'How Giving a Little Makes a Big Difference', shared her philosophy on charity and the power of small collective actions. Mindy later founded 'Giving 1 Percent', a social impact project that encourages people to give just one percent of their net income to help support charities.
