In 2010, she became an official contributor to CNBC, building her television presence, whilst also serving as the Head of Investment Strategy at Brooks Macdonald, leading investment strategies and market positioning for high-net-worth and adviser clients. During this time, Gemma began establishing herself as a business and consumer commentator, presenting shows across ITV, Sky News, and Channel 4. In 2015, she founded and served as CEO of Moola, where she pioneered digital investment propositions centred on accessibility, engagement, and technology. The company was acquired by JLT after over four years of operation under Gemma. The year after Moola’s establishment, she appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice US, advising Arnold Schwarzenegger, cementing her status as an authority on business operations. In 2019, she founded and was the executive editor of News UK, creating the Times Money Mentor. Gemma has served in numerous high-level board positions, from chair to Non-Executive Directorships at organisations like IWP, VivoPower, Foresters Financial, and Kingswood Group. She is currently an IBM Partner on AI, as well as Chair of Lloyds Wealth ACD, Remuneration Committee Chair of Saga plc, and Non-Executive Director of FTSE 250 Telecom Plus (Utility Warehouse).
As a result of her incredible career, Gemma has been recognised with numerous honours. The BBC selected her as one of their 100 Women, won Industry Commentator of the Year at the City of London Wealth Management Awards and was a finalist at the 6th Shorty Awards for the Social Media Business Influencer Award.
