Katherine Moloney

Katherine Moloney is an award-winning aviation speaker, Founder and CEO of Elevate(her) Aviation, private helicopter and fixed-wing pilot, content creator and advocate for diversity in STEM and aviation. Best known for establishing one of the world's fastest-growing communities supporting women in aviation, Katherine has inspired audiences globally through her entrepreneurial journey, leadership expertise and passion for making aviation more accessible. As the recipient of the IATA High Flyer Award, recognised in Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2026, and a speaker at leading international aviation events, she brings an authentic, practical perspective on leadership, resilience, inclusion and building high-performing communities. 

Katherine's passion for aviation began as a teenager when a trial flying lesson completely changed her ambitions. Although her father was a pilot, she initially believed aviation was not a career for her before discovering a lifelong love of flying. She achieved her Private Pilot's Licence (Helicopter) at just 19 before earning her Private Pilot's Licence (Fixed Wing Aircraft) in 2022, expanding her expertise across multiple aircraft. Alongside flying, Katherine built a successful career in aviation marketing, serving as Marketing Director at Transair Flight Equipment between 2018 and 2025. Her commitment to widening access to aviation also saw her appointed Department for Transport Aviation Ambassador from 2021 to 2023, where she worked on initiatives promoting careers across the aviation sector. As her own social media channels documenting life as a pilot rapidly grew into an audience of more than 700,000 followers, Katherine recognised the need to create stronger support networks for women entering an industry where fewer than five per cent of UK pilots are female. This vision led to the launch of Elevate(her) Aviation in 2023, an organisation dedicated to informing, inspiring and connecting women pursuing careers across aviation worldwide. 

Today, Katherine is recognised as one of the leading young voices in global aviation. Under her leadership, Elevate(her) Aviation has grown into an international organisation with thousands of members spanning 64 countries, supported by a dedicated team working to increase female representation across aviation professions. Katherine has received widespread recognition for this work, including the IATA High Flyer Award 2025, Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2026, the AirLeague Outstanding Contribution to Aviation and Aerospace Award, and finalist positions in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Female Founder of the Year and Women in STEM Awards. She has also represented the sector as a UN Women UK CSW68 Delegate, demonstrating her commitment to advancing equality well beyond aviation.
