Scottish football speaker, player and manager Alex McLeish has been working within the football industry for more than thirty years, part of the successful Aberdeen of the 1980’s McLeish now works exclusively as a manager and sports speaker.

Part of both the junior and professional teams at Aberdeen, McLeish is often called upon to work as a football speaker at club events, his tenure at the club spanned sixteen years and covered eight domestic and two European trophies. During this time, McLeish also played for his national club, gaining 77 caps overall making him the Scotland’s third most capped player ever,

After Aberdeen McLeish went on to briefly play for Motherwell before retiring as a player in the 1990’s and became a dedicated football speaker and manager beginning with his former team Motherwell.

McLeish’s managerial career is probably most well remembered for his time spent at Birmingham City and their city rivals Aston Villa; the first manager to move directly from City to Villa, and only the second manager to ever manage both clubs, Alex McLeish helped lift City from relegation back into the Premier League during the 2009 season and guided them to a win in the 2011 Football League Cup.

In more recent years McLeish has begun working as a manager for European teams and working as a sports speaker on an international level; he has been hired by clients across the UK and Europe though he remains most popular in his home nation of Scotland.
