Rock band Toploader first formed back in 1997 and have since forged a highly credible reputation in the music industry. Today they boast over two million album sales, with their songs being a hit on home soil and globally. Best known for covering Dancing In The Moonlight, Toploader have released countless top-hit tracks and earned numerous nominations for top industry awards. After being established in 1997, Toploader first rose to fame performing with bands such as Coldplay and Muse.
They also supported artists such as Noel Gallagher and Robbie Williams before finding their own fame with a six-album deal with S2 Records. With S2 Records, Toploader released their first album Onka’s Big Moka which reached number five on the UK Albums Chart. After the success of their first album, Toploader released their second Magic Hotel in 2002. Unfortunately, this album was not as well-received as their first, which led to their record deal with S2 Records being dropped. Struggling to find support the band decided to go their separate ways in 2003.
However, luckily for Toploader fans, the band reformed in 2009 after they signed a deal with Underdogs Music. Only three of the original members exist in Toploader today, with Joseph Washbourn, Rob Green and Dan Hipgrave delivering the vocals of the new Toploader. Newly reformed the band released Only Human which brought them back to the attention of the music industry. Since reforming they have also released Turn It Around, Never Stop Wondering, A Balance To All Things and Seeing Stars.
Toploader has performed at a number of top venues throughout their time. They were one of the last bands to perform as the old Wembley Stadium, joining Bon Jovi on stage before the renowned stadium was demolished and rebuilt. They have also performed on TFI Friday and at the Glastonbury Music Festival. They have also provided entertainment for several universities, performing at events such as the Student Union Summerball for the University of Gloucestershire and the May Ball at Aberystwyth University.
Other performances include at the Tiree Music Festival, the Lakefest Festival and for the Time Is Precious charity concert. Having been nominated for four Brit Awards, Toploader has left their mark on the music industry. With over 20 years of experience as performers, Toploader is highly sought to provide entertainment at a range of corporate events. Impressing fans for many years, Toploader is a great choice to leave a lasting impression on all event audiences.
