British music act and singer Kavana has had a long standing career across numerous areas of both the UK and international pop music scene, beginning with his first single in 1997 Kavana, aka Anthony Kavanagh has worked as a solo artist and performer in theatre, music, entertainment and reality TV. His first UK top ten hit. I Can Make You Feel Good, was the start of a number of popular entry’s into the UK top 40 for Kavana, a successful solo artist during the late 90’s he moved to Los Angles in the early 2000’s where he worked with friend and ex-Spice Girl Mel B on her first solo artist venture.
Soon after Kavana was cast in the MTV series Undressed and secured a contract as a songwriter for a number of big American singers. In 2006, Kavana returned to the UK where he made his first appearance as an actor in the E4 series Hollyoaks: In The City. He soon returned to his first love however and later the same year began working with legendary music act Jools Holland as a sessional musician and backup vocalist.
He also participated in the BBC series Grease Is the Word, where he made it into the final. Following this he appeared in a number of theatrical musicals including Extra Factor, which was based on the reality TV series the X Factor and G*Mania, based on the US TV hit Glee. In 2014 Kavana made headlines when he revealed that he was gay. In 2015 it was announced that Kavana, along with a number of other popular music acts from the late 90’s and early 2000’s would be part of a super group, 5th Story. Other solo artists included in the venture are Dane Bowers and Gareth Gates.
