After graduating with a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Derby, Gary was selected to join Cosworth Technology as a Trackside Systems Support Engineer in 2005. Within this role, he gained experience at the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport championship before making the leap to Honda Racing F1’s Test Team as a Trackside IT Engineer. Become a respected professional within the motorsports industry, Gary joined the Brawn GP F1 team as a Senior Systems Engineer in 2008 and was a crucial member of the team’s 2009 FIA F1 World Championship victory.
In 2011, Gary joined the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Limited team as an IT Support Desk Manager and worked his way up to become their IT Service Delivery Manager. As an incredibly knowledgeable professional, Gary is now working as the Chief Information Officer at the Haas F1 Team. Alongside this, Gary holds multiple positions outside of Hass, including being a member of the board of trustees at SSNAP, and a trustee at Tove Learning Trust.
