Over a distinguished 25-year career in public life, Theresa has held some of the most senior and challenging positions in UK government, including Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, and Minister of State for Transport. Her leadership in managing political crises, shaping landmark legislation, and negotiating complex agreements has earned her a reputation as one of Britain’s most experienced and authoritative public figures.

Theresa also served as a law lecturer at King’s College London, co-authoring a legal textbook before making the transition to politics. Following her election to Parliament in 2005 as MP for Chipping Barnet, Theresa quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury just seven months after entering the Commons, one of the fastest promotions ever. In government, she served as Minister of State for Transport, overseeing major projects like Crossrail, Thameslink and the London 2012 Olympic transport operation. Appointed Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in 2012, she led two complex cross-party negotiations resulting in the Stormont House Agreement and the Fresh Start Agreement, successfully maintaining stability in devolved government. Later, as Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, she introduced landmark post-Brexit legislation including the Fisheries Act, Agriculture Act and Environment Act, and managed extensive Brexit preparations affecting UK food and farming industries.
Theresa’s vast experience makes her a uniquely qualified speaker on government leadership, crisis management, security, Brexit, environmental policy, regulatory reform, and international diplomacy.
