Tess Daly

Tess Daly is a model, brand and charity ambassador and former co-host of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Having been part of Strictly since 2004 and appearing in over five-hundred episodes, she was recognised with the Glamour Award for Presenter in 2015. However, in 2025, Tess and co-host Claudia Winkleman decided it was time to pass the reins to someone new as they turned their focus to new projects. Discovered at 18 by Models One, Tess’s career quickly took off and led her across Europe, America and Asia. Beyond her magazine covers, Tess appeared in several music videos in the 1990s, notably featuring in two for Duran Duran. Whilst living in New York as a model, Tess unexpectedly began doing red carpet interviews. After building up her broadcasting skills and creating a showreel, Tess was quickly snapped up by Channel 4 to be the host of the Find Me Model Competition. Since her introduction into British TV, Tess has gone on to present programmes including Singled Out, Smash Hits TV and the first series of Make Me a Supermodel. In 2003, Tess replaced Ulrika Jonsson as the presenter of Home on their Own, before finding her career defining role as co-host of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004. As well as presenting, Tess also nurtured her passion for writing, being published in Paper Magazine and being the weekly style and beauty columnist for The Daily Mail. Tess also released her debut novel ‘The Camera Never Lies’ in 2011, following it with 'It’s Up to You, New York’ in 2013.

Beyond her television work, Tess also has an extensive commercial portfolio. Debuting as the face of Danone Shape Yogurt and La Senza in the UK, Tess has now evolved into a health and beauty ambassador for iconic brands like L’Oréal, Wellwoman and Ultherapy. Following her interest in the industry, she developed a successful beauty range with Marks & Spencer that won two Rodial Beauty Awards, before co-founding luxury swimwear brand Naia Beach in 2021. Tess most recently published her fourth book ‘4 Steps: To a Happier, Healthier You’ in 2023, sharing her advice on being the best version of yourself.

A staple of British broadcasting, Tess remains one of the industry's most trusted presenters, regularly involved in national events including the National Lottery, Royal Variety Performance, Children in Need and Comic Relief.
