Michelle Mills-Porter FPSA ADHD is a behavioural intelligence expert, former CEO of Ensize UK, and is the Founder of The People Reader – an organisation that provides insightful analysis tools for better communication, understanding, development and fulfilment of people. Michelle has been a consultant and transformational trainer for over 20 years, excelling in driving human behaviour when pressure is high, certainty disappears, and instilling strong leadership as a foundation for success.
Very early on in her career, Michelle assumed the role of Head of Client Development at The Brand Works and soon after became the CEO of Fizz-Bang! Marketing. During her time here, in 2004, Michelle experienced one of the worst days of her life - the terrible Boxing Day Tsunami, sustaining considerable injuries. It was through this adversity-filled experience that Michelle recognised her passion for understanding human communication through the lenses of behaviours and core values. She also helped raise £100,000 in a mere 6 months for the Hikkaduwa Village Fund, which was instrumental in saving the lives of the people in the village. Following this life-changing event, Michelle changed direction, briefly serving as Founder of Phone Genius, Director of the Worcestershire Business Club, Mother of Monkey Marketing, Founder of the Uber Groups, CEO of Ensize UK, and is currently Managing Director of Mmp Ltd. In 2021, Michelle created The People Reader, a set of behavioural frameworks that look to guide leaders and teams in better understanding motivation, communication, and collaboration. Michelle is also the Immediate Past President of the Professional Speaking Agency, after serving as National President from 2024-2025.
Currently focused on helping organisations achieve increased engagement and performance, Michelle has held various board-level roles, including Ambassador Workshop Facilitator for EmployabilityUK, Board Director of SHINE Together, and now sits on the Board of Directors as Membership Director for the Professional Speaking Association. Michelle is also the author of "Phone Genius – The Art of Non-Visual Communication", diving into the mechanics of improving one's effectiveness over the phone, underscoring her decades of experience spent understanding the complexities of human behaviour. She also won the President’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Speaking Industry as well as the Kenny Harris Badger of Honour Award for Comedy.
