Captain Andy Wyatt, Captain Paul Rimell and Captain John Tye are three of Britain's most respected leaders in aviation. Combining aviation stories, humour, industry insight and decades of real-world experience, the trio leave an impact that lasts well beyond the applause at sell-out events across the globe. Described as the 'Top Gear of aviation', they have collectively flown some of the world's most remarkable aircraft, including the Red Arrows, Concorde, the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380, allowing them to share experiences from the world's highest-pressure environments.
Andy's remarkable 40-year career began at just 18 when he joined the Royal Air Force (RAF). After completing rigorous training, he was selected to fly the English Electric Lightning, where he worked to intercept Russian aircraft during the height of the Cold War. After progressing to work as a flying instructor, Andy was chosen to join the RAF Aerobatic Team, known as the Red Arrows. During his three years flying with the team, he completed over 300 displays and performed as a member of the elite synchro pair. Andy was then promoted to Squadron Leader, flew the Hawk as a qualified weapons instructor, and served as the Commander of No. 92 Squadron. Transitioning to commercial aviation in 1998, he became a Captain of British Airways' Boeing 747. After 23 years with the company, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Andy helped set up Longtail Aviation, where he became the Chief Pilot and flew PPE and vaccines around the world. His wealth of experience across industries makes him a highly sought-after motivational speaker.
Captain Paul Rimell always aspired to fly the world's largest jets, which he accomplished over his 40-year career as a commander, instructor and examiner. As a highly experienced aviator, he is distinguished for his extensive expertise in operating large commercial aircraft, including the Boeing 747. During his time at British Airways, Paul served as a Training Captain for the Airbus A380, known as the largest passenger aircraft ever built. He was one of only a handful of pilots in the UK licensed to instruct, mentor and certify pilots on the aircraft to ensure the highest standards. Additionally, he was part of the recruitment team to guarantee that only the best possible pilots joined the airline, ensuring professionalism and safety at all times. Paul, having retired from commercial flying in 2026, continues to train pilots today as an instructor and examiner on commercial jet simulators, including the Airbus A320, the workhorse of short-haul flying worldwide. His senior positions came with significant responsibility, unmatched teamwork and quick decision-making skills, which he has shared throughout his professional journey at aviation and leadership events.
The final third of the trio is made up of Captain John Tye, who is renowned as one of only 143 pilots to fly the world's only supersonic airliner. His story in aviation is far from straightforward, as he initially joined British Airways in 1976 in a temporary position before university. However, after gaining a wealth of valuable early experience, this short-term decision became a 46-year career. In 1989, John became the Captain of the Boeing 747 for British Airways before being one of the elite few to be selected to pilot the Concorde, known as the fastest passenger aircraft ever built. Following this, he shared his extraordinary skills as a Training Captain for both Airbus and Boeing 777. Following his retirement, John became the bestselling author of ‘Life of a Concorde Pilot: From The Orphanage to the Edge of Space’, where he uses honesty and humour to spread an inspirational message.
With connections going back over 40 years, Andy, Paul and John have reunited to bring a unique blend of military precision, commercial aviation expertise and world-class leadership experience to every stage. Andy offers insight into the finest aerobatic team in the world, drawing on his Queen's Commendation for Valuable Services in the Air. Paul contributes a modern commercial aviation perspective, giving audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the largest passenger aircraft ever built. Meanwhile, John shares the prestige and fascination of Concorde through vivid accounts of supersonic travel. Combining aviation stories from across the globe, the trio deliver unscripted stories of unmatched teamwork, resilience and decision-making, all balanced with the banter from three great friends. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind keynote speaking and Q&A trio, look no further.
