Scott McArthur

Scott McArthur is best known for being an incredibly diverse and talented Keynote and TEDx Speaker who has a wealth of experience delivering talks all over the world to a wide variety of audiences and organisations. Having also previously worked as a musical rock producer, business consultant, HR Director and research scientist, Scott is able to draw on his vast experiences in many different sectors to give his audiences the tools they need to help reshape the way they think for the better.

Previously a budding scientist, Scott studied BSc Biological Sciences, Biology and Psychology at Edinburgh Napier University in 1984. After a 10 year sabbatical from studying, he then went on to gain his DMS in Organisational Psychology and HR from Manchester Metropolitan University and then gained his MSc in Organisational Development and Change from the University of Aberdeen. Originally a Research Assistant for the University of Edinburgh, Scott has also worked for British Gas as a Personnel Officer and as Head of Human Resources for numerous companies. Having unfortunately experienced friends and colleagues take their lives for fear of the future, Scott became determined not to let this happen again.

During his talks, Scott has a unique way of connecting with the audience because of his down-to-earth nature and his fruitful and diverse background – since Covid-19, Scott has even turned his hand to filmmaking, live broadcasting and storytelling. Highly sought-after as a speaker, Scott has a wealth of knowledge and an incredible resume to his name; having held workshops and spoken for top organisations such as the Ministry of Defence, M&S and the Olympic Authority. Scott is aware that humans are creatures of habit, and sometimes we need to break these habits to reach our full potential.
