Antony Worrall Thompson

Well known celebrity chef and television personality, Antony Worrall Thompson is a man of many talents. The charismatic chef was first thrust into the public eye after regularly appearing on hit cookery show Ready Steady Cook. Now the resident chef on BBC 2, the fondly known AWT is no stranger to the spotlight. Having appeared on over 200 cookery programs for the Carlton Food Network and captained the quiz A Question of Taste on Radio 4, AWT has also made guest appearances on a vast number of TV programs. Having also written numerous books including, Supernosh, Modern Bistro Cookery and 30 minute menus, based on his Sunday Times column, Antony is a man with fingers in many delicious pies. During his career as a professional chef, Antony has been responsible for some of London's best known restaurants including, The Atrium, 190 Queensgate, dell'Ugo and Drones. Although the celebrity chef is no longer connected with any of the above restaurants, he still runs his own restaurant “Wiz" in West London where you will still frequently find him behind the stove. In addition to his London restaurant, AWT is also head of Wiz Events that organise elite outside catering and corporate events, while his sister company Wiz Solutions provide advice to restaurants, pubs and the catering industry. As Vice-Chairman of The Restaurateurs Association, AWT is also President of Euro-toques.  With one of the most celebrated accolades under his belt, the Meilleur Ouvrier de Grande Bretagne is essentially the Chef’s Oscar; AWT is one of only seven chefs' to have received this lifelong title to date.
