His passion for hospitality began in Italy when he joined the Nino Bergese Hotel School in 1990, graduating in food and beverage management. Whilst studying, he gained valuable experience as a Comis de Cuisine at the 5-star Hotel Jolly and Hotel Sheraton, where he worked to verify the quantity and quality of foodstuffs issued to the kitchen. Additionally, in 1995, he worked as a Chef de Partie at Restaurante Zeffirino, designing recipes, planning menus and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene. With a passion for sharing his expertise, in 2000, Walter joined the Hotel Schools 'Achille Grandi' and 'Amerigo Vespucci', where he taught aspiring chefs. His career later evolved into the luxury yacht industry in 2008, which he continues to pursue. Walter has served as a Head Chef aboard some of the world's most prestigious yachts for Ibiza Yacht Service, Florida Crystal Corporation and Adriano Volp, along with working as a Solo Chef on a 32m motor yacht. 

In recent years, Walter has continued to expand his influence beyond the kitchen. He has collaborated with internationally renowned designers and luxury brands, working as an Executive Chef and Consultant with Kaori by Walter Martino and WL Media Solutions. With a talent for intertwining cuisine with visual artistry, his work has appeared at prestigious occasions, including the Latin Grammy Artist of the Year celebrations. Through his brand, The Million Dollar Chef, Walter has established himself as a recognised figure within the luxury lifestyle space. Alongside his growing online presence, in 2024, he published 'The True Story of The Million Dollar Chef: From Ibiza's Legendary Tip to The Las Vegas Grammys', where he shares his journey from an ambitious young chef to a culinary entrepreneur.
