Louise Hill is the founder of GoHenry, the financial services app educating kids on earning, saving and spending. As a financial education campaigner, Louise often attends Downing Street and the House of Commons to continue raising awareness for the cause. An insightful and experienced speaker, Louise offers a rare insight into entrepreneurship, leadership, and the importance of ensuring children develop positive relationships with money.
Beginning her career as Operations Manager at Alexander Proudfoot, she soon joined The Innovations Group and Debenhams as a Business Analyst, building strong foundations for her future entrepreneurial ventures. In 2004, Louise became the Operations Director of Scotts of Stow, where she earned vital customer service skills before moving to a similar position with The Cotswold Company and Findel Direct, running the contact centre and warehousing operations for several brands. In 2009, Louise served as Transformation Project Lead for the Borough of Poole, driving important culture change and bottom-line savings to the council. Three years later, she co-founded GoHenry, a prepaid pocket money Visa debit card and app for 6-18 year olds to develop essential money skills. With over 500,000 customers and 250 staff, the company has served over 2 million young people. Since its inception, Louise has grown GoHenry from zero to £95m in revenue and over £90 in ARR and has expanded to Europe by acquiring the French PixPay and to the US through a merger with Acorns in 2023. In 2026, in 2026 Barclays acquired GoHenry for over $200m. Through her incredible work, Louise played a key role in the implementation of financial education into the primary school curriculum, set to begin in 2028. Alongside her role as founder and Executive Chair of GoHenry, Louise is part of Innovate Finance’s Unicorn Council for UK FinTech and is a Board Advisor for The Payments Association and JPMorganChase FinTech Forward programme.
A trailblazer in the UK Fintech and financial education spheres, Louise’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, having been listed as one of CrowdCube’s top female fundraisers following GoHenry breaking fundraising records and raising a total of $136m. She won the Leadership in Financial Literacy and Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2024 City AM Dragon Awards, was named City of London Entrepreneur of the Year 2024, Women in Tech - Woman of the Year 2023 and City AM Entrepreneur of the Year 2023, and GoHenry won the Better Society Tech for Good award, the Best Children's Financial Provider Award at the British Bank Awards, the Finder Provider of the Year Award for Best Kids' Card Provider for two consecutive years, and the FinTech Breakthrough Award for Best Financial Education Platform. GoHenry also ranked at #38 in Newsweek's Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces in the UK. Louise has shared her expertise across a range of TV, radio, podcast, and digital media, including appearing as an expert judge on The Apprentice in 2025.
A real changemaker, Louise is ensuring that children build positive monetary habits as we move towards an increasingly cashless world. Having been invited to give evidence at the Women and Equalities Committee as part of their enquiry into female entrepreneurship, Louise is a confident speaker with over 20 years of experience running large-scale operations for several UK retailers.
