
Marek Tomalak is the Global CMO of SodaStream at PepsiCo. With over twenty years of experience, he has worked with leading brands such as Nestlé and Procter & Gamble, leading various teams and learning about the intricacies of human motivation. Through managing organisations through serious situations, from Covid to war, Marek understands the importance of innovation and growth.
After achieving a pre-diploma in economics and business studies from the University of Bremen, Marek spent a short stint at Nestlé, where he served as a Confectionery Marketing Assistant. Within the next few years, Marek began at Procter & Gamble as an Associate Brand Manager for OLAY Poland. He worked his way up to Brand Marketing Manager for their laundry business within the brand’s Eastern Europe division, then Central Europe North. Upon leaving P&G, he joined PepsiCo as a Marketing Senior Manager for carbonated soft drinks and has since worked his way through various high-level positions within the business, having served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for SodaStream from 2024.
Marek is part of PepsiCo’s Senior Executive Development Program, which focuses on implementing digital transformation across consumer, customer, company, and culture. He has contributed to an upcoming academic book, 'International Business and Culture: Challenges in Cross-Cultural Marketing and Management'. Marek has also given interviews for Business Ukraine magazine, Kyiv Post, the European Business Association Ukraine, and KPMG Review Magazine.
Passionate about sustainability, diversity, consumer behaviour, technology, and the effects of leadership on behavioural change, Marek excels in business transformation and fast yet meaningful growth. He speaks on a range of topics, including motivation, leadership, identity, and greenwashing, drawing from evidence-based insights, personal anecdotes, and practical frameworks.
