Kevin Simm is a popular solo artist and lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, who made his name as a member of the band formed on the Popstars TV talent show, Liberty X. The band had significant commercial success, achieving seven top 10 singles, with hits songs that included, Thinking It Over, Being Nobody and Holding on for You. The pop band won a BRIT Award for Best British Single with the song, Just a Little in 2003 which topped the UK charts and was certified Platinum after selling over 600,000 copies. They also received a nomination for the Best Breakthrough Act the same year.
After his surging success with Liberty X, Simm embarked on a solo career of his own, releasing his debut album Brand New in 2008. He would reform briefly with the band for an appearance at the Hammersmith Apollo broadcast on ITV2's The Big Reunion in 2013 before auditioning for The Voice UK in 2016. On The Voice UK, Simm sung Sia's Chandelier which prompted all four of the show's coaches to turn their chairs. After losing in the battle round of the contest, coach Ricky Wilson stole Simm, helping him into the latter stages. He would go onto wow the judges and audience alike, winning The Voice UK in April 2016. Soon after his victory, he released the single, All You Good Friends which went to number 24 in the UK Singles Charts.
He would once again reunited with Liberty X to perform at the Birmingham Gay Pride, playing a host of their hot hits as well as his new solo single. In 2018 he joined the band Wet Wet Wet and embarked on an 18 date tour in 2019, following previously sold out shows. A tremendously talented singer and entertainer, Kevin Simm is the ideal act to have guest jumping on tables, singing and dancing along for events of all shapes and sizes. Able to perform as a solo artist, as well as with new band Wet Wet Wet or with Liberty X, Kevin Simm without doubt can add a touch of magic to any occasion.
