Ivana Gazibara

Ivana Gazibara is a foremost expert on futures and systems change, known for being the former Associate Director of The Futures Centre. An authority on sustainability strategy and innovation, Ivana was part of the SustainAbility emerging economies team that worked to build the organisation’s practice in India and Brazil. Over the last two decades, Ivana has overseen thought leadership projects and strategic foresight work with influential stakeholders. Currently, she is the Director of Systemic Investment Programmes at TransCap Initiative and shares her wealth of knowledge on sustainability, futures and systems change as a highly sought-after keynote speaker.

After earning a BA in International Relations/ Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Toronto, Ivana completed an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics. In 2004, she joined IBM as a Business Controls Analyst before becoming an External Consultant at Oxfam, working on the LSE/Oxfam project assessing the impact of international food retailers on emerging economies and global supply chains. She also served as an Analyst at SustainAbility, advising prominent clients such as BP, HP, GSK and Apple on sustainability strategy and key sustainability trends.

Following that, she became a Freelance Advisor at the CleanStar Trust, assisting with their social enterprise-focused production of jatropha-based biofuels in India. Having accumulated substantial expertise in sustainability, Ivana became a Senior Strategic Advisor at Forum for the Future, completing pioneering horizon-scanning research around future sustainability trends and helping organisations prepare for the future using tools such as roadmapping, visioning and product/service innovation. In 2013, Ivana joined Forum for the Futures as Head of South East Asia Projects, spending the next decade working in several roles, including Principal Sustainability Advisor, Head of Futures and Associate Director.
