Gary Pallister is a British football speaker, pundit and ex-player best known for his nine-year run at Manchester United. Following his retirement in 2001, Gary became a full-time football speaker and pundit. He has made numerous appearances on both ITV and the BBC working as a TV presenter, commentator, and sports speaker on some of the most important games in the Premier League.
Gary began his football career at Billingham Town and at age 19, he was able to sign for Middlesbrough as a defender. Gary had made 156 League appearances over nearly 5 seasons at the club. In 1989, Gary signed for Manchester United and took part in multiple important cups, including the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and the Football League Cup. After showcasing his talent, Gary returned to Middlesborough and gained an extra 55 league performances. Apart from his senior career, Gary was also part of the England national team where he gained 22 caps before moving to the B team in 1989.
As a significant part of any team, Gary was honoured with multiple different awards throughout his career. In 1989, he was awarded the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and then the PFA Players’ Player of the Year in the following season. Since retiring in 2001, Gary became a football speaker and pundit, working with both BBC Sports and ITV Sport. He has also made appearances on Focus Football and Final Score as a specialist in the sport.
