Carol Decker is the former lead singer of the band T'Pau. She had a string of top 10 hits and international success in the late 1980s with the release of the signal 'Heart and Soul' in 1987. The song hit number 4 on the US billboard hot 100 charts. Now available to book as a solo artist for corporate artists and private parties Carol is a special act not to be missed.
The band formed in 1986 and their debut album reached number 1, going quadruple platinum in the UK. Carol went on to see major success in the UK with her band T’Pau having several Top 40 songs with their most successful being 'China In Your Hand' which spent five weeks at number one on the singles charts. Some other notable songs are ‘Heart and Soul’ and ‘Valentine’ which both achieved Top 10s in the charts.
A multi-talented performer, Carol has made appearances across both the stage, film and television. In 2003 she had a role in the play 'Mum's the Word’ at the Albery Theatre in London. She has also appeared on national television in the BBC One show 'Just the Two of Us', as well as the comedy series 'Trigger Happy TV' displaying her witty personality in several sketches. Carol also made a guest appearance on the hit ITV British comedy series Benidorm playing herself. Despite the split of the band in 1992, the band reunited in 2013 for the 25th anniversary UK tour. Carol still performs under the band’s name as a solo act today and will be appearing on The Essential 80s Tour.
Her solo singing career saw her release the infamous 'One Heart' in the 1990s as well as collaborations with several notable artists. She has built a great reputation as a performer and a songwriter and continues to perform across the country. She has over 30 years of experience as a singer and continues to delight audiences with her captivating performances.
