Taryn Southern is a leading digital content producer, influencer and storyteller, changing the future with emerging technologies and music. From a young age, Taryn has been heavily involved with the entertainment industry and interested in the possibilities of technology. When she was just 10 years old, Taryn used computer software to develop her first piece of music, and from that point on she has been passionate about using tech. She released her first official track when in high school, titled Hello World, and became a viral sensation after releasing her comical music video on YouTube. For the next decade, Taryn featured in countless YouTube videos and also dabbled in producing and writing them too. She also competed in the renowned show American Idol and graduated with degrees in journalism and anthropology.

Outside of producing her award-winning music, documentaries and videos, Taryn is also a regular contributor to Business Insider and TechCrunch. She is also a member of the board for the National Academy of Medicine’s Longevity Challenge and a survivor of stage 3 cancer.
