Best known for his expertise in artificial intelligence and technology, James is the former Senior Manager of Global Social Media and Head of Emerging Platforms & Partnerships for the LEGO Group. In these roles, James was the dedicated lead on social media for Lego developing strategies for global media presence and helping to build customer engagement through immersive technologies such as voice and conversational AI. James is also the founder of Exodus Media and Voice 2 and the co-founding CEO of Vixen Labs.
Before forging his successful career, James studied in Radio Production and Media Studies at the University of Westminster. He then went on to become the founder of Exodus Media, a podcast company that was majorly ahead of its time. After a year with the business, James returned to the University of Westminster to teach the future generations about social media in journalism, before becoming a Digital Strategist for Ogilvy Public Relations. James also went on to work as a Digital Director for Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster, a Senior Social Media Communications Consultant for Lexis: The Recommendation Agency, a Social Communications Trainer for PRCA, the UK Director of YouVersion The Bible App and the Associate Director of Digital UK & EMEA for Edelman before joining the LEGO Group.
Other prominent roles of James’ include being a Founding Board Member of the Digital Future Council, a Strategic Advisor in Digital for The Church of England, a Start Up Coach and Advisor for Resurgo Ventures Accelerator and a Start Up Advisor for Impact Central. James’ hard work throughout his career has been highly commended, having previously received the Young Communicator of the Year 2011 from the PRCA. He has also claimed the Best Newcomer 2012 Award at the Christian New Media Awards, been shortlisted for the 2011 Mark Hanson Award and been a finalist for both the 2010 Outstanding Contribution Award from the Recommendation Online Awards and 2011 Young Communicator of the Year from the CIPR.
