Pam Rhodes


Pam Rhodes is a British TV presenter known for her long standing work for the BBC as the host and leading TV presenter for Songs of Praise. Beginning her career as a news journalist and TV presenter Pam worked for Anglia television and Radio 2 as well as Lifestyle Television and a long standing contract with London Weekend Television.

Outside her work as a TV presenter Pam is a passionate philanthropist who has worked alongside many charities raising funds for the Salvation Army, Christian Aid and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. She is a patron of a number of charities local to her home in Bedfordshire including Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice and is Vice President of the national charity the Church Army.

Pam cites her most exciting and proudest moments in her career as a TV presenter as the interviews with the likes of Sir James Galway, Sir Harry Secombe, Sir Cliff Richard, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dame Thora Hird, the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Reverend Jesse Jackson and even the Pope himself.

Her long running role as the lead TV presenter for Songs of Praise, her first appearance on the show taking place more than twenty years ago, has only helped to further affirm Pam’s own faith. Beyond her work as a TV presenter Pam has written several fictional novels and enjoys gardening and working outdoors.
