Nikki Dean is a presenter and tech communicator with over ten years of TV and event hosting experience that has taken her around the globe and seen her work with some of the world’s most exciting technology brands. With a particular interest in Artificial Intelligence and Consumer Technology, she has been lucky enough to host events for clients such as the Mobile World Congress, IFA, Hub: Berlin and The Ideal Home Show Live in addition to trade and launch events for brands such as Apple, Nvidia, Motorola, DJI and Samsung.
Nikki’s skill lies in communicating complicated technology in a fun yet informative way. She currently hosts and co-produces Inside AI, an online series on Artificial Intelligence, and Next Level, an Online gaming show. She is also a contributor to the BBC on Tech related issues. Having studied Broadcast Journalism at university, Nikki has also recently completed a course in Deep Learning. Her love of technology, down to earth nature and quick wit has earned her a legion of fans as the retail and ‘Gadget Girl’ on Something for the Weekend, a popular Sunday morning show on BBC 2.
Nikki has also worked with countless technology brands to help them launch products, host events and front their branded content, having also created a huge change in direction for her presenting career. Although a lifelong gadget geek, Nikki’s career actually began in entertainment where she racked up 6 years as the Strictly Come Dancing Digital Presenter covering all the backstage stories and online content, plus spending two years as the breakfast show anchor on a live daily 3-hour magazine programme for The Guardian Media Group.
Nikki has also had the opportunity to present Formula Woman, a competition created to find six female racing drivers to compete in the GT Cup. This experience has allowed Nikki to broaden her horizons as a presenter, and also given her the exciting opportunity to undertake training and take to the track herself as a driver! An incredible experience, Nikki has met many inspiring women aged 17 all the way to over 60 years of age.
