Dr Sanjida O’Connell is a qualified zoologist who now works as a director and TV presenter for the BBC’s science and wildlife productions. With a PhD that specialised in chimpanzee behaviour Dr O’Connell is passionate about her field of expertise and has been nominated for a number of awards.
Previously working as the producer and one of the TV presenters for the BBC’s flagship science programme Horizon Dr Sanjida O’Connell has also worked as a TV presenter for the National Geographic Channel and the Discovery Channel.
Outside her work as a television and radio presenter Dr Sanjida O’Connell is also an accomplished novelist, she has won the Betty Trask prize for romantic fiction and has also been named Asian Woman of the Year. Further complimenting her interest in nature and wildlife Dr Sanjida has published a variety of non-fiction pieces detailing her experiences as a wildlife TV presenter and the various creatures she has come into contact with.
Dr Sanjida O’Connell continues to work as a radio and television presenter for the BBC and can be seen on many of their high profile nature documentaries.
