East-end actor Jamie Foreman has starred in a number of high profile British TV and feature film productions working alongside some of the biggest names in the global film industry and reaching massive national audiences.
Foreman has been working as an actor since the late 1970’s, beginning with small roles on a number of major British television series including Wings, Dempsey and Makepeace, London’s Burning and Inspector Morse. By the 1990’s Jamie Foreman had established himself as a notable character actor often appearing as the hard man or as a gangster in thrillers and murder mysteries.
Jamie’s big break in feature film came in 1997 when he starred in the writing and directorial debut from fellow actor Gary Oldman, Nil by Mouth, where he starred alongside Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke. Jamie has continued to work in both British and American film and television including a major role in Matthew Vaughan’s Layer Cake (2004).
More recently, Jamie has played a recurring role in the BBC hit soap opera Eastenders where he replaced the retiring actor Terence Beesley in the role of Derek Branning as well as appearing in a number of British film productions including 2011’s Ironclad and 2012’s noir thriller I, Anna.
