A highly recognisable face of television and theatre, BAFTA winning actor Des Coleman has starred as Lenny Wallace for multiple series of Eastenders, as well as becoming nominated for an Evening Standard award and Royal Television Society Award for his role in the musical Simply Heavenly.
Des’ experiences in film, theatre and television make him one of the most accomplished personalities to sing as a solo artist, act as event host or present an array of television programmes. Coleman has enjoyed further praise for his film and television work, including Harry on the Boat, which became a series on Sky TV due to its success. Des was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Santa Monica Film Festival for his role in Simple. Des won a whole new section of fans after training with The Met Office to become a TV presenter and weather reporter for BBC East Midlands Today, his charm and eccentricity saw him win a Royal Television Award for his efforts. Coleman’s success on the show led to him becoming an elemental part of the presenting team for BBC’s The One Show for three years.
Having overcome two bouts of cancer, a week behind bars and a lengthy time on life support, Des understands how much of a challenge life can really be, making him a pre-eminent motivational speaker.
