Shaun Murphy


Former world champion snooker player Shaun Murphy is a professional sportsman, snooker speaker and Christian aid worker who tours not just the UK but the world appearing at specialist snooker speaker events and tournaments. Born in Harlow, England Shaun Murphy has lived and played in various countries around the world, he has been trained by former world champion snooker speakers and players such as Willie Thorne and Steve Prest and was given guidance by, and the former cue of, six time world champion Ray Reardon as a gift at a young age.

Taking to the sport aged as young as six Shaun Murphy has gone on to win the World Championship, the UK Championship, the World Open and The Malta Cup as well as placing in another World and UK Championship tournament. Outside his professional playing career Shaun Murphy also works as a sports speaker, offering advice and guidance to audiences around the world; appearing at both corporate and private events, as well as contributing to charity matches and fundraising sports speaker events Shaun Murphy’s career as an after dinner speaker is arguably as vast and impressive as his sporting life.
