Jamie Roberts

Welsh Rugby Union Player & Speaker

Jamie Roberts is a Welsh rugby union player. He has played for Wales since 2008 and has represented the British and Irish Lions on their tours to South Africa in 2009 and Australia in 2013. Roberts is currently playing for Bath Rugby in the English Premiership. His usual position is the centre.

He is a qualified doctor and is studying for an MPhil in Medical Science at Queens’ College, Cambridge. He is a fluent Welsh speaker.

During his rugby career, Jamie has been awarded Cardiff Blues’ Most Promising Player in 2007/08, British & Irish Lions Player of The Series in 2009 and was nominated for the BBC Wales Sports Personality Award in 2009 to which he came in Third Place.
