England Rugby Legend

Dean Richards is an ex-England rugby player and sports speaker, he is known as one of the most capped number eight players in rugby union and most popular after dinner speakers working the sports speaker circuit. With a long standing career with his home team the Leicester Tigers Richards has gone on to play for his nation, coach future players and now gives entertaining after dinner talks as a rugby speaker. Prior to playing rugby professionally Richards spent several years working for the Leicestershire Constabulary Police and began his professional rugby career playing for Roanne in France.

Thanks to his success as a sportsman and rugby speaker, Richards has become a well-known face both on and off the rugby field; he made a name for himself playing for the British Lions team at no less than five World Cups and became the most capped England player after appearing in the 1989 and 1993 competitions where he won 48 England caps and was capped 6 times for the Lions team.
