London 2012 Paralympian Sam Ruddock has enjoyed a short but successful career within sprinting, after being talent spotted during his American football days at Loughborough University. Spotted as a potential athlete, he turned his attentions to the tacks and in just over 6 months after initially taking up the sport, found himself on the biggest stage Paralympic sports could offer- in his back yard.
A cerebral palsy sufferer, Sam Ruddock is a keen sportsman having excelled in American football, Rugby and Rowing. The sports speaker, who made his major competition debut at the London games, has gone from strength to strength, and is undoubtedly setting himself up to enjoy a prolific career within T35 running. A confident after dinner speaker, Ruddock is able to deliver his meteoric rise through the ranks during his role as an Olympic speaker.
Competing at the 2013 IPC World Championships in Lyon, France, Sam Ruddock is beginning to gain recognition across the 100m and 200m events, and is undoubtedly a future medal winner.
