Andrew Steele

Olympic Silver Medalist

British athlete and Olympics speaker Andrew Steele is a 4×400 metre relay runner who has represented his country at both the Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

Son of Dr. Chris Steele a well known health expert Andrew’s interest in sports began at a young age, he began competing professionally in his early 20’s and has since gone on to join a number of medal winning teams competing on an international level. Also working as an Olympic speaker Andrew continues to train and race for Team GB.

Andrew Steele took part in his first Olympic Games in 2008 as part of the 400 metre relay team as well as competing in the individual 400 metres race. Andrew has gained modest success as a sportsman reaching the semi finals of both races during the Beijing Olympics. Complimenting his training with work as a public Olympic speaker Andrew strives to encourage more young people into sport, his status as a young and successful racer make him an ideal candidate for sports speaker at school and educational events.

Coming in only 0.6 seconds away from a medal in the 4×400 metres at the 2008 Olympics Andrew Steele has experience with both the elation of success and the devastation of near-misses; his insight into both sides of competition make him a truly inspirational sports speaker and perfect for an audience consisting of hopeful sportsmen and women.
