Joost Luiten

Dutch Champion Golfer

Dutch golfer and sports speaker Joost Luiten, born Willibrordus Adrianus Maria Luiten, is a European Tour player who turned professional in 2006. Originally failing to obtain a tour card for the European Tour Joost Luiten began his golf speaker career on the EPD Tour, performing exceptionally and making second place in just four starts.

His success at the EPD gained him a single invitation to the Challenge Tour and the Tusker Kenya Open where he once again demonstrated his skill and gained qualification for the next tournament.

Climbing his way through the Challenge Tour, Luiten went on to place in France and eventually won the Vodafone Challenge, beginning to make his mark as a player and golf speaker to watch.

This success finally gained Joost Luiten a tour card and a coveted place on the European Tour 2008; he placed in the top ten twice before an injury forced him to cut his tour short and returned in 2010 to place in the top thirty in the Order of Merit.

Luiten gained his first European Tour win in 2011 when he claimed victory at the Iskandar Johor Open in Malaysia. Now working as a golf speaker on a global scale Joost Luiten became only the second Dutch player to record multiple European Tour victories when he went on to win the Lyoness Open in Austria in 2013.

In 2014 Joost Luiten won the Wales Open and came in third at the Volvo Golf Championships and ended the year at number 28 in the World Golf Rankings. Continuing to play on the European Tour, Joost Luiten also works as a golf speaker and is available for guest appearances at sports speaker events and charity golf days around the UK and Europe.
